A prominent block of the Latin of the original description is not suitable for a general readers' guide, such as Wikipedia.--Wetman (talk) 01:16, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you are right that long non-English text are not much suitable. Luckily this type description is short, anybody can easily skip this and availability of this is necessary for further improvement of the article. Meantime it can stay as it is because it still provide few more or less useful information: how long the Lindström's description was, that he mentioned island Fårö and also other species of monoplacophoran and so on. Also this article is in continuous improvement as any other wikipedia article. Wikipedians will translate it into English in the future and then we will see what do do with it. --Snek01 (talk) 12:00, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm also not sure whether the latin belongs in the article. If this was an article about anything else then we certainly wouldn't put a big chunk of a foreign language in the article in case someone can translate it. How about moving it to here? Smartse (talk) 21:53, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
