I am new at this. How does this seem like spam? It is a skate park to be built by the community. Please advise and also how do I put articles written by newspapers about the park. Thank you. (Mpitc2000 (talk) 18:45, 12 April 2010 (UTC))[reply]

It is spam because the intent of the page is promotional: to drum up interest in a project. A proper Wikipedia article is purely informational, and never uses phrases like "our progress". See also the guidelines on conflicts of interest: you should not create an article about a group or organization that you are involved with. Finally, just because a planned construction project has been mentioned in the local newspaper, does not mean that it's necessarily suitable for inclusion in an encyclopedia, so the article may still get deleted for lack of notability. Hgb the editing is done to the best of my ability and I hope this can remain on Wikipedia. Grass root efforts such as this should be notable as they allow people of all ages to become involved with bettering their community, taking responsibility to make a positive change, and becoming involved in local government. Please let me know if you think any changes or sources should be changed. Thank you again for your help. (Mpitc2000 (talk) 02:06, 13 April 2010 (UTC))[reply]

This article does not comply with Wikipedia's policies yet, but Mpitc2000 has never done any type of coding and such. I am a neutral friend that has at no time helped the Pitcher Park Foundation, but I do know of the project. I will be editing her article tomorrow morning to include all current references and proper template usage. If you need to take it down for right now, okay, but I assure you the new one will comply with Wikipedia's standard. (PaulAbbott 11:33, 13 April 2010 (UTC))[reply]
