Untitled[edit]

There was a comment on the RoughlyDrafted web site that PIXO was only used for the early iPods, and they are no longer using it. The article was just speculating. It was wrong as of January 14, 2007. The Pixo OS is still in use in the currently shipping iPods.

We should have a source for this if it is true. Theshibboleth 13:24, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The link to the old Pixo site now appears to be something different on Sun's. Should this be fixed? Pc michael 19:33, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a link to the old versions of the site Michael Grinberg 16:06, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is just garbage noise and should be removed[edit]

"One of the most successful OS?" What about embedded OS like VxWorks that have shipped in nearly a BILLION devices, from cars to washing machines, by now. Don't let Mac propagandists destroy the Wikipedia69.228.240.57 22:17, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, remove it then. It does say "one of" though... I'd guess it's in the top 10 or 20... EAi 16:28, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pixo OS image[edit]

The current picture is terrible. Instead of some random iPod user's favorite song, how about we display the original "About iPod" screen that mentioned the Pixo OS? I couldn't find an image like this with a cursory search. Does anyone have one?

I don't think that's a random image. I've seen that everywhere, especially in article that mention the iPod interface. I think it's an official stock photo from Apple PR, so it looks alright in this article. /

Pixo is not used on iPod[edit]

Seems like the Pixo OS is not used on the iPod at all, as you can see here: http://www.roughlydrafted.com/RD/RDM.Tech.Q3.07/DD5FFFA5-2CDA-46C7-ADE9-E4AD4BF01602.html
