Date of first publication[edit]

The Internet Archive has a [scanned copy] of this book which has the year 1921 in it, from the original scanned front page of the book, not 1924. Ken Arromdee (talk) 17:14, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It is hard to know what to do with that information, as the article indicates that first publications in magazines began in 1923, and then collected into a book for 1924-1925 publication. --Prairieplant (talk) 17:28, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ken Arromdee This book just came out of copyright on January 1, based on the 1924 publication date. You can see the new cover image added to this article a day or ago. It is due to the complicated copyright laws in the US. The biggest thing coming out of copyright on Jan 1, 2020 was Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. His heirs fear its use in rap songs. See an article about some of this year's books and music in the public domain here. Last year, the Agatha Christie books were listed in articles, but I think she was overshadowed by Gershwin this year, and a major book by E M Forster. --Prairieplant (talk) 22:55, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
