Inclusion of Social Media and Politics Podcast[edit]

  • Some proposed changes

Hi All,

As a relatively new contributor to Wikipedia I did not previously disclose a COI in editing this page. I therefore am asking for approval. I am an academic who produces a non-commercial podcast called Social Media and Politics.

Information to be added or removed: I propose adding Social Media and Politics to Section 6: Notable Political Podcasts Explanation of issue: The podcast is notable in that it has been featured by the Guardian, and covered events like the Cambridge Analytica scandal months before its introduction into the mainstream media. Guests on the podcasts include digital campaigners from the Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Rand Paul, and Marco Rubio Campaigns. The podcast maintains a non-partisan stance, and has featured leading academics in the field of political communication.

  Discussion required

  1. It does not appear that the community has discussed here on the talk page what the inclusion requirements are for adding podcasts to those sections. Consensus needs to be ascertained before these additions may be made.
  2. The COI editor is reminded to sign posts that they leave on the talk page.

Hi Spintendo,

Thanks for the reply. How can I initiate such a discussion. Is it simply here on the talk page, or?
