rewrote page, things still to do[edit]

the lede was a collection of info not found in the body, so I placed it into the body and made 2 more sections. now the lede is probably too short.

Sequence of countries is alphabetical.

I didnt delete any content, will leave it to others.

The UK section is the obvious next step to improve/ contract

I think there should there be more emphasis/ a section on other countries ("teh 100") somewhere, to represent a worldwide view so i put {globalize} up

CJDuhaime, I had placed a message on your talk page 2 mths ago, but not received a reply. as lawyer practising and advertising in that area you do have a conflict of interest, as you know. thank you for being transparent about this re your user name. you make interesting points, but I am afraid that your webpage cannot be cited as a reliable source WP:RS. If you'd insert third party sources that you are aware of (which I didnt see in your blog) it would he more useful. I ll leave it to others to decide in consensus--Wuerzele (talk) 20:48, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

copy vio[edit]

the paragraph "Heavy fines have been imposed on financial institutions that have conducted business with PEPs without following adequate Know Your Customer procedures and enhanced due diligence processes. Since September 11, 2001, more than 100 countries have tightened their Anti Money Laundering laws, making the fight against corruption a central element of their new legislation. In addition, there has been greater emphasis on cooperation between nations to enforce the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act." is straight from aLexis Nexis website. --Wuerzele (talk) 21:05, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Citations needed[edit]

Page is missing essential citations, particularly within each countries' section under Implementation. Some countries are very bare and it would be good to include more on countries with large banking industries, e.g. China, India.

I've tried to rectify capitalization and grammatical errors I've found, but there are still some outstanding.

I also think it would be cool to include some pictures within the article, perhaps of famous/infamous PEPs (Ferdinand Marcos?). Schlongenheim (talk) 19:48, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
