Notability[edit]

Wikipedia has many pages refering to National personifications of various countries, such as Britannia, Germania, Hibernia, Helvetia, Columbia and many others. Polonia very clearly belongs to the same 19th Century "family" and was intended as such, and there is no reason why she should not have a page to herself like the others.

I hope you will continue expanding this article. If you speak Polish, you might start by adding some info from:
Górska, Magdalena (2005), Polonia - Respublica - Patria. Personifikacja Polski w sztuce XVI-XVIII wieku, Wrocław: Wydawnictwo Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego, ISBN 83-229-2615-4 (I didn't read it, but the title seems promising).
Whatever you add, please remember to cite your sources. Happy writing! — Kpalion(talk) 19:46, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
