This mural is currently on the seal of the City of Pomona and is on all their letter head. It is considered by many to be the finest piece of public art in Pomona. The Mayor and Council members placed a bronze plaque dedicating this mural in Thomas Plaza a few days ago. They recently paid for the restoration of this mural. Parts of the mural are an homage to famed muralist Diego Rivera and Pomona's past. It was created by local Pomona artists and famed muralist Kevin Stewart-Magee. The photo I included shows only one part of the mural. There are three other parts of the mural which detail Pomona's past. Elementary school children take a field trip to this mural every year. It is one of the only murals in Pomona that has not been graffiti'd or destroyed in other ways. Thomas Plaza is the main plaza for the City of Pomona. I noticed on the AFD discussion page a request for a photo of the "third wall". It looks to me like the whole mural is there. If not, please post a reply. I'm frequently in the area and can take a photo if still needed. ... One comment about the preceding paragraph: Not to diminish the importance of the mural, but although events do occur in front of the mural (and along adjacent Second Street) many big public events also occur in Pomona's nearby Civic Center Plaza (bounded by the library, city hall and courthouse), and at the Fairplex, to name a couple of other locations.--CheMechanical (talk) 05:08, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

This Wikipedia entry was created by the ex-girlfriend of one of the artists user Maria Rivera. She was also user Louis Brownstone above. As you can see both of those user names and others were deleted for being sock puppets. A Wikipedia entry for one of the artists was also deleted because she and her other user names created it at the order of the artist. That page was removed because the artist was deemed not to be noteworthy enough. Most of this page was created by Rivera and her user names. Juan H Castillo (talk) 17:56, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
