Language![edit]

Can someone translate the 'Postage Stamps' section into English please? I have no idea whatsoever what a sentence like "New drawing first Russian postage stamp rectangular created senior engraver EZGB FM Kepler and handed it to the October 21, 1856." means. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.244.155.249 (talk) 18:21, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article split needed[edit]

I completely agree with the above comments. The article looks weird from different points of view. I tried to restructure and edit the article but don't see if these edits improve it a lot. Taking into account all these issues and a huge size of information covered by the current article, I would suggest to split the article and create two separate articles: Postal history of Russia (this is at the moment a redirect) and Postage stamps of Russia. This split would enable appropriate further cleanup and editing of the two new articles. --Michael Romanov (talk) 11:31, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This would be great. Gone Postal (talk) 19:58, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
