The result of the proposal was not moved. The discussion about the main article resulted in it being moved to "Ubangi-Shari". Since the point of this move request was making this article's title consistent with the main article, I think that's settled now. Jafeluv (talk) 05:59, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Postage stamps and postal history of Ubangi-ShariPostage stamps and postal history of Oubangui-Chari — The title of the main article uses the spelling Oubangui-Chari, so this article's title should be consistent with it. Vanjagenije (talk) 10:00, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That seems like a reasonable argument and uncontroversial, so just ask an admin to do it. ww2censor (talk) 03:20, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. (Am I too late?) Move the main article instead. "Oubangui-Chari" is the French name, and "Ubangi-Shari" is more common in English. For example, Britannica and Columbia use "Ubangi-Shari", and Encarta uses "Ubangi-Chari". Also, English language searches for "ubangi-shari" and "oubangui-chari" in Google Web and Google Books show that the former spelling is somewhat more common. I'm placing this move-request on hold, as the "consistent with main article" argument is persuasive but the main article itself might not be proper. Jafeluv, please start a move-request on its talk page so we can get some resolution there before continuing here. DMacks (talk) 22:28, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vanjagenije beat me to it. The discussion is here. Jafeluv (talk) 11:01, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I thought You've forgot it. Vanjagenije (talk) 12:35, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
