Non-standard[edit]
Since Powered USB is not ratified by any generally recognized standards setting body but is instead owned by IBM it is actually a non-standard proprietary implementation rather than a standard and so should not be called a "standard".

- It is patented and belongs to someone, which would make it a proprietary standard except we have no such article because some consider it a contradiction in terms. Logo/Icon idea[edit]
