Distinction from semi finals[edit]

I think that this should be somehow reworded to display that it's only relevant in Australia/the AFL and is actually a semi-final. Any thoughts? BullNiro (talk) 01:33, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

The article serves no useful purpose. In the end, 'preliminary final' is nothing more than the Australian word for semi-final (in certain contexts); and as semi-final does not have its own page, (simply redirecting to knock-out tournament), so should be the case with preliminary final (which is redirected to McIntyre System, the system with which it is best associated).
