Incorrect station name.[edit]

The proper name for this station is Price/Apache. On-board announcements will be "Price Freeway & Apache". Other than that, "Loop 101" is not used in any official publications or informal convention. --Recnet (talk) 04:57, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The name ("Apache at Price") is still wrong. Valley Metro's transit book lists this station as, "Price-101 Freeway/Apache Boulevard" -- the other way round, and with a slash. Unfortunately, METRO's name is not only too long to be printable on Wiki maps, it is furthermore incorrect itself, as there is nothing called "101 Freeway" -- the proper name of the highway is Arizona Route 101, or Loop 101; this segment of the highway is also named "Price Freeway" but that doesn't match METRO's name either. The frontage road is Price Road. As for "Loop 101" -- Every white-on-green highway sign in Phoenix refers to the highway as "Loop 101" -- so it is perfectly proper to call it that. If METRO would follow best practices of station naming, this would just be "Loop 101/Price." Wlindley (talk) 15:03, 1 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
