Punctuation[edit]

"The reading achievement results present each country with an opportunity to examine educational policies and practices against a globally-defined benchmark, while the report also contains rich information about children's early literacy experiences and reading instruction" (PIRLS International Study Directors, Ina V.S. Mullis and Michael O. Martin of Boston College[5])
Where should a period be placed, inside the quotation marks, parenthesis or at the very end?--Adûnâi (talk) 23:19, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Fourth grade[edit]

Fourth grade is an Americanism and a fair chunk of the world will have no idea what this means. Is there any particular reason to use this rather than citing the approximate ages of the children that are assessed? If not then I think it should be changed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.24.200.63 (talk) 23:22, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tone[edit]

This sounds a lot like it’s written by PIRLS themselves. There’s also a lot of unnecessary detail and a lack of balance. 195.213.195.37 (talk) 05:59, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
