Progressive Muslim voteMuslim left – Moving to Muslim left is a better more descriptive title in accordance to other similar examples like Jewish left and Christian left as the article mostly deals with Western countries. Currently Muslim Left redirects to Liberalism and progressivism within Islam a Muslim left with Islamic socialism, so changing those redirects would be needed. This is the perfect article to solve the issue of such weird double redirect that with only a different spelling redirect to different articles. --CDLCR (talk) 17:34, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think I support this, as per nom. --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:29, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. I think the title "Muslim left" suits better the article Liberalism and progressivism within Islam. "Muslim left" shouldn't be only about voting in Western countries. Vpab15 (talk) 15:53, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Vpab15 I don't think Liberalism would apply to be "left" as, except for the US, is not considered left-wing anywhere else. In any case, I did added some cases from Asia recently. --Carachos (talk) 03:36, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • You are right that "liberal" can mean many things, but when used to refer to religious liberalism, that is usually to the left of religious fundamentalism or religious orthodoxy. I still think Liberalism and progressivism within Islam is more suited to be renamed to Muslim left. Vpab15 (talk) 14:15, 23 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
        • Do you have any sources that confirm that? Because as a non-American I can also confirm that liberalism sounds right-wing to me. --CDLCR (talk) 07:06, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose, I don't think this article needs the "Muslim left" rename, since it is specifically talking about votes rather than right wing vs left wing opinions. - Wakemeup38 (talk) 02:42, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move to Western Muslim left, as the article primarily regards the phenomenon in western states. BrxBrx(talk)(please reply with {{SUBST:re|BrxBrx}}) 02:44, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong oppose: the article isn't about anything even remotely close to the "Muslim left". It's about a case of voting phenomenon. Not all politics is about voting; the phenomenon is only about non-Muslim majority countries; and voting for a left-wing party doesn't mean you are left-wing (you may e.g. just dislike other candidates more or agree only on a single issue that is important to you). — Bilorv (talk) 21:39, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
