Name change[edit]

Project GNOME has been moved to Project Gnome. Gnome is not an acronym. (Leaflet (talk) 18:32, 28 February 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Both spellings are correct. The names of Projects/Operations are often typeset in all capital letters, especially for projects classified as SECRET or TOP SECRET (classifications are also often typeset in all capital letters). Nicole Sharp (talk) 16:55, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cavern dimensions[edit]

The dimensions of the resulting cavern, "20 m (66 ft) wide and 50 m (164 ft) high", are incorrect, and not in the source given (http://pubs.usgs.gov/pp/0501b/report.pdf). I have adjusted the text with the dimensions given in a declassified film about the test (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFJ2MyWlXgs): "about 170 feet across and is almost 90 feet high." detonation depth[edit]

Two different detonation depths are provided in the article here, but the official historical plaque states the depth as "1,216 feet". Nicole Sharp (talk) 16:57, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
