More specific title needed?[edit]

This article is about a specific reactor. Shouldn't it be headed 'Indian Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor' or 'Kalpakkam Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor'? Prosopon (talk) 12:37, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs serious editing[edit]

This article reads like it was written by a 6 year old with haphazard statements that make no sense. There is no introduction, no description. Anybody who can edit this incoherent jumble of statements to something meaningful would be most appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.195.133.100 (talk) 15:31, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Safety Considerations[edit]

Boundarylayer has repeatedly added this text:

Positive void coefficient of reactivity values and the ensurance of sufficient coolant flow rates, are respectively; kept within tolerances by the Doppler broadening effect and the use of conventional pumping inertia, alongside multiple inlet-perforations, to prevent 1 blockage halting flow.

I have repeatedly reverted asking for better explanations. Maybe this should be two sentences: one on doppler broadening and positive void coefficient, and one on whatever this is trying to say about flow blockages. I would fix it if I understood what it was trying to say.NPguy (talk) 19:14, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Further delay , after fuel fabrication, then sodium pumps[edit]

"As of February 2019, criticality is planned to be achieved in 2020." There are new delays, see http://fissilematerials.org/blog/2020/03/indias_prototype_breeder.html. Sorry, I'm EN-1 ;-) --Smial (talk) 00:19, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can we add to the article some explanation for the years of delays. Smials link says "Initially, the reasons for the delay had to do with problems with plutonium production and fuel fabrication. However, for the last several years, the commissioning of the reactor has been held back by problems with sodium pumps."
Can we give more detail ? The article links to sources on both problems : fuel rods : http://fissilematerials.org/blog/2016/07/further_delay_in_commissi.html, and sodium pumps ( https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0149197020300251?via%3Dihub ) which is paywalled. - Can anyone extract the reasons ? - Rod57 (talk) 11:01, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
When was the plant construction complete ? When did commissioning start ? When was fuel loaded ? When did sodium pump problems start ? - Rod57 (talk) 11:09, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
