This article incorrectly attributes the idea of "Publish and Subscribe" to Apple. Publish and Subscribe is a fundamental pattern in computing and was commonly in use long before Apple implemented it. Bob Wyman

*fully agree with Bob Wyman. The term publish and subscribe was invented by TIBCO, which is one of the main pioneers in the field.
