Criticisms

I think this TV show deserves a section on criticism as to the inaccurate mishmash in the way the show portrays Mennonites, but as one of Mennonite (Amish) descent myself I may be a little too close to wite that up appropriately. Be specific. What inaccuracies and where are they sourced? If it's about the drug running that's not even fictional. Hana Gartner of the CBC news magazine The Fifth Estate broke the story something like 15 years ago. By the way, Mennonites and Amish are not the same people and if you're merely descended of Amish and writing on the Internet you are nowhere near that close to the subject, never mind in a position to discuss "inaccuracies" simply because Mennonites in a fictional town in Ontario aren't behaving like your grandparents. Mennonite communities are very diverse, from Old Colony to the many modern Mennonites who are effectively invisible because they do not dress in old fashioned clothes or shun modern technology. So if you're going to say something's inaccurate, say what is by all means but without a source it's your own opinion and therefore original research which can't go in the article. ZarhanFastfire is correct on both counts: firstly, it's a drama series, which is allowed to take dramatic license and is not obliged to be perfectly accurate in all respects about every aspect of Mennonite life. And secondly, if and when reliable sources, such as major market daily newspapers or Maclean's, start rapping it on the nose for being inaccurate, then we can add a "criticism" section sourced to that published content — but if what you want is for Wikipedia editors to perform our own personal analysis of how accurate the show is or isn't about some aspect of Mennonite life, then that would be original research that we simply cannot do. By a similar token, for both of the same reasons it's not our place to knock Cardinal for calling its setting "Algonquin Bay", when it's really North Bay in theory and Sudbury in actual filming-location fact, either. Nationality not Country for Viewers field

Even though the template field states country, it is more correct to use nationality with the word Viewers. Whoever created the template wasn't great with the grammatical syntax of the field naming. 119.224.3.221 (talk) 05:08, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Feel free to discuss that at the template or another forum. You'd be surprised at how much odd grammar there is on Wikipedia. For instance, players do not play for the demonym of the national sports team, they play for the national team (for instance not the English men's football team but the England men's football team).
