Untitled[edit]

I have tried to change the entry in keeping with NPOV requirements, balancing the comments on crime with a discussion of the university community in this area. Also, some implicitly racist content was removed.

Some changes[edit]

Added some information of the history of Rio Piedras and expanded some ideas that were on the article. Some details, like crime events that happened on January 2007 were eliminated due to the fact that they were events of a particular crime wave that was not part of the relevant history of the town. Everywhere we find crime, and if we are going to add every incident of drug or violence in Wikipedia's articles they will cover too much space, and also Wikipedia is not a repository of news(Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not). --Forgotten736 03:29, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Angel Pagan is now on the New York Mets, and his name has an accent on the first "A" in his first name as well as the last "a" in his last name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.212.8.70 (talk) 19:27, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rename[edit]

Why is not this article just called Río Piedras? --damiens.rf 12:03, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • 'Cuz there's a river and a watershed by that same name. Confusing isn't it? See [1]:

We use Río Piedras when referring to the original municipality or current barrio, Río Piedras River when referring to the river, and Río Piedras Watershed when referring to the river’s watershed.
