Should the name of this article be changed to "R-2 (missile)", in accordance with other disambiguations for common acronyms? Okto8 (talk) 20:52, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not called the SS-2[edit]

I agree. The missile is called the R-2; SS-2 was just the NATO code name for it. Most of the other articles on Russian missiles I've ever seen use the correct designation as the title, not the NATO code. S-75 Dvina is called it's own name, not "SA-2 Guideline". The R-7 Semyorka isn't called the "SS-6 Sapwood". The 2K12 Kub isn't called the "SA-6 Gainful". It's always the correct Russian titles, with the NATO code name given underneath. I'm new the Wikipedia, and haven't figured out how to "move" an article yet, or I'd just go and do it myself, but the title of this is not in line with the rest of the articles of Soviet rocketry (and seems a little arrogant and Anglo-centric, to my mind).
