Pella, Iowa and swearing in pic[edit]

The Washington Post article referenced mentions Pella, Iowa and then somewhat vaguely says she grew up in rural Iowa. The Radio Iowa ref I added says that she is a Pella "native". But the infobox says she was born in Muskegon, Michigan. Can anybody clear this up?

Also the pic below the infobox shows her swearing in by Jeff Sessions. In the middle is a figure I recognize as Rod Rosenstein (look at the ears). The DOJ website doesn't mention his name, but it makes sense since she reports to him. Can anybody 100% verify that it is Rod R, I'm only 99% sure. The 3 may soon be in the news together a la Saturday Night Massacre.

It appears she was born in Muskegon and raised in Iowa. See this and this. As for the picture, I'm not so sure that's Rosenstein. In every picture I've seen of him, he's been wearing glasses. Political party[edit]

Is Brand's political allegiance known? I ask because it's included in the info boxes for Mueller, Sessions, and Rosenstein. Sessions has already recused himself from Mueller's investigation, and Rosenstein has stated that he will follow suit if he comes under investigation himself - in which case Brand would assume supervisory responsibility for Mueller's use of DoJ resources, so it seems particularly relevant/significant information. Requesting updates[edit]

Hello! As the official Walmart representative on Wikipedia, I have updates and corrections for this article. I am limiting myself to Talk pages because of my conflict of interest. I have tried hard to ensure that the content I'm proposing is presented as encyclopedic, neutral, and verified by third-party sourcing:

Bush administration (2000–2007)

The article mentions Brand's work as an associate counsel on the transition team, which lasted a few weeks, but doesn’t mention that she was a lawyer in the White House. I propose adding this sentence: Brand later served as President Bush's assistant counsel and associate counsel.^[1]^[2]

Associate Attorney General

I propose adding this sentence: Combatting human trafficking was one of Brand's top priorities as Associate Attorney General.^[3]^[4]
I propose adding this sentence: At the Department of Justice, Brand authored a memorandum entitled "Limiting Use of Agency Guidance Documents In Affirmative Civil Enforcement Cases," which was called the "Brand memo". The document forbade DOJ litigators from bringing enforcement actions based on unenforceable guidance documents.^[5]

I propose revising the material on Brand's work at Walmart to include her role as chief legal officer and a brief overview of responsibilities: On February 12, 2018, NBC News reported that Brand quit the Justice Department over fear she might be asked to oversee the Russia probe and was taking a position with Walmart.^[6]^[7] As executive vice president of global governance, chief legal officer, and corporate secretary, Brand is in charge of the legal department, global ethics, compliance, and investigations.^[4]^[8]

There are a few items that are outdated, yet there is not updated third-party sourcing to verify it.

Early career

This subsection says "Brand, the daughter and granddaughter of Dutch dairy farmers …" Brand's parents grew up on a dairy farm; she did not. This was generated from a Washington Post article that incorrectly stated this; it has led to other articles saying Brand grew up on a dairy farm, which isn't true

Other professional activities

This subsection says "Brand is the chairman of the Federalist Society's Litigation Practice Group and co-chair of the American Bar Association Administrative Law Section's Government Information and Right to Privacy Committee." Brand no longer holds these positions. Can this be updated to say "Brand was"?
