Proposed AfD[edit]

This article is WAY too early to exist. Yes, it will exist eventually, but I strongly recommend that it be deleted (and properly #redirected) until we have factual, solid information about the attraction. The way the article stands right now is absolutely horrid. Thoughts? SpikeJones 22:42, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Newman[edit]

Paul Newman was added as doing the voice in this ride. He died almost four years ago, so how did he do the voice in the ride? Does the ride include clips from the movie? Needs a reference. 72Dino (talk) 21:28, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Most frequent rider[edit]

Davidcrown has added content about the most frequent rider of this attraction. I reverted it because it seemed trivial and, most importantly, supported by only a blog and a YouTube video. Instead of discussing the addition on the talk page, he added it again. So, I am taking it to the talk page so other editors can discuss if this is appropriate content. Thanks, Bahooka (talk) 15:39, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all, I'm trying to understand what is not appropriate. My addition of (most frequent rider) would be important for such a forum like this. Mr. Jon Hale has officially ridden this attraction more then 5,130 times. I have several links to verify this including his blog (http://jons1000racers.blogspot.com), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/jon.a.hale), Instagram (https://instagram.com/racers5000/) and Google Plus account (https://plus.google.com/u/1/101878687723941212216/posts). An 11 minute (first-person interview) YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_5autwF0vo) that all supports his efforts and achievements. In addition when he reached 2,000 rides KABC-TV-Channel 7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles did a story on him (http://abc7.com/society/man-rides-radiator-springs-2000-times/398126/) and then when he reached 5,000 rides (11/2/2015) The Orange County Register did a story on him as well (http://www.ocregister.com/articles/hale-692628-cast-disney.html). I'm not sure why this would be "trivial". He has passed through the Disney California Adventure turnstile over 130 times this year.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Davidcrown (talkcontribs) 17:26, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bahooka is correct. This is trivial in terms of an encyclopedia article for the attraction, which is not a "forum" as was described above. The individual's achievement is not notable, as coverage of the story is only local in origin (if a national newscast covered it, maybe). Thus, it fails WP:NOTNEWS. --McDoobAU93 19:32, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Davidcrown would like to add a video link to Radiator Springs Racers page with now national coverage of Jon Hale's journey. As of this writing (1/18/19), Hale has ridden Radiator Springs Racers 11,311 times. This Disney produced video explains his journey. https://www.racers10000.com/he-went-on-radiator-springs-racers-10750-times-disney-people-by-oh-my-disney/ 04:33, 19 January 2019 (UTC)
