Train categories[edit]

If find the order somehow confusing, as the products can not wholly be assigned to DB or a private operator. Therefore I'd suggest to list all train types by priority (top: ICE, lowest: RegionalBahn), with separate remarks on S-Bahn and U-Bahn (usually treated separately). The next (or preceding) passage could be ont the operators? What do you think?

Another point: 'Schnellzug' is IMO no longer an official train type, but only used for chartered trains. Remove or comment?

International passenger trains[edit]

Do we really need to list every station between Berlin and Amsterdam etc? (I think not; this is wikipedia and not a train schedule, which any traveller etc will have to consult anyways.) --Cancun771 (talk) 17:38, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Profitability and subsidies[edit]

Does anyone have any figures about how profitable the German network is and how much it is subsidised by the state? Absolutelypuremilk (talk) 19:52, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Overview[edit]

In ths table, I assume "multiple units" means trailer units and "locomotive" means powered units?--- Ehrenkater (talk) 11:09, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
