Plz. add sources[edit]

I've tagged the article with "Wikify." Plz. re-organize and add credible sources for the various claims made. Only FYI there were none until I added some. The page is virtually bereft of credible sources. As of now it contains just one footnote and two references, and all three of them point to the same site. There is one external link, which is wholly irrelevant. I'd even say questions of neutrality can be raised. Let's wait and watch a little.

Template:Infobox Indian Institute of Technology[edit]

This article uses the template {{Infobox Indian Institute of Technology}}. This template was forked from {{Infobox university}} way back in 2006. The template {{Infobox university}} has been completely rewritten since then, and this forked template has not benefitted from these improvements. From the point of view of maintenance, a few standard templates are better than a collection of many specific ones.

If the template {{Infobox Indian Institute of Technology}} in this article were replaced with {{Infobox university}}, no information would be lost and the parameter |mottoeng= would start to work. I therefore suggest that this be done. HairyWombat 21:32, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
