This article was listed for proposed deletion with the following reason:

(1) Mooney did not create it; someone else did; and (2) I have serious privacy concerns; and (3) because others apparently are "editing" it, it contains inaccuracies.

As reviewing administrator, I removed the prod; the reasons do not seem valid.

The subject of the article is not supposed to create it.--doing so would be highly discouraged.--see WP:COI. We're an encyclopedia , not a Who's Who.
holders of named chairs at universities are usually notable. by our criterion in WP:PRF.If so, the preference of the person whether or not to have an article is irrelevant. We're an encyclopedia , not a Who's Who.
Our policy on privacy concerns is WP:BLP--I see none, in the straightforward and descriptive article. The only personal details are sourced to his own official web site at his university, a reliable source for such matters. Most of the material about his career appears to be cited to an a tribute to him in the University of Oregon law Review, an even more reliable source.
Everyone is free to edit here. That's our basic principle. The subject of an article does not get to control what is said about him. If there are any errors, fix them and explain on the talk page. (If you are the subject, it is better to do it there than on the article to avoid conflict of interest. The only item possibly in question is age/date of birth, and I shall check for a source on that.
