Redirect changes[edit]

For reasons I'm rather unclear on, someone decided that the primary use of the name "Rat Patrol" was not for the famous TV show, not for the moderately well-known songs, but for some bicycle club in Nashville. Considering the likelihood that someone searching for "rat patrol" would be looking for a page that says "The Rat Patrol is a bicycle cub in Nashville" rather than a moderately extensive article on the 60's TV show, I've moved the article, changed the redirects, and updated this disambiguation page accordingly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Worldwalker (talkcontribs) 18:36, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alberta[edit]

I once-upon-a-time added a reference to the Alberta program that removes any rats found in the province. It was removed by Bkonrad, without description of why. I'm not sufficiently experienced with the rules of Wikipedia, so I can only guess as to why. Was in incorrectly referenced? Lacking in relevance? Not correctly specified for a disambiguation page?

If it requires a link to a page within Wikipedia, there is a mention to the rat control program (last paragraph of section). Would that be appropriate to link to?

I moved to Alberta, and was told by a number of people about the "Rat Patrol". I was not 100% sure if they were kidding or not. Eventually, I found the web site on the Alberta government web site referenced on the Alberta#Fauna reference plus this page, and I saw the segment about it in the DVD extras for the Pixar film Ratatouille, so I'm now convinced. There was a nice history posted here.

Thanks in advance for setting me straight. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.148.2.66 (talk) 06:30, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
