primary results[edit]

i found the recent inclusion of primary results somewhat questionable, and welcome comments. first, the article doesn't include primary results from other races, so why this one? it looks as if the editor wanted to put a bad spin somehow, although I am sure that wasn't the intent. assuming that's not the case, then perhaps we need to clarify the article to make clearer that -- while the primary results may or may not be noteworthy for inclusion -- he didn't barely win the primary. As written, "He only garnered 50.8% of the vote in the Democratic primary over Congressman Wayne Dowdy--an unusually close margin for an incumbent governor." makes it sound as if he barely won and makes a value judgment without sourcing the analysis. But he won by 10 percentage points, a pretty good margin, and we need to make clear there was a third candidate. Again, comments welcome. Journalist1983 (talk) 23:51, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mabus in Prophecy[edit]

Evidently, the name "Mabus" is mentioned in Nostradamus' quattrains as the third and ultimate anti-christ. The first two were named Paunayloron(Napoleon) and Hister(Hitler). Many have suggested that Mabus could be interpreted as "Obama". However it would be easier to point to someone actually named Mabus. Its a big coincidence that Ray Mabus is a Cabinet member and a former ambassador to the Middle East. Ray Mabus has been mentioned as a possible anti-christ on a History Channel documentary on Nostradamus and the anti-christs mentioned in his quattrains. You can also find many articles and forum discussions on by Googling "Ray Mabus Anti Christ" or "Ray Mabus and Nostradamus." Kms00 (talk) 01:45, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

But did you know that Paunayloron is an anagram for "You anal porn"? Eerie. -- œ 03:16, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The quatrain does not specifically state that he is the antichrist. It states that the death of "Mabus" will result in the slaughter of an untold number of humans and animals. I must concede that this is truly an eerie coincidence... This will remain open to interpretation until judgement day. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.186.212.52 (talk) 06:34, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Do we really need to mention this on his Wikipedia page? It comes off to me as unencyclopedic. Ninja Auditor (talk) 23:11, 30 November 2010 (UTC)us[reply]
