I Wor Kuen and the Rainbow Coalition[edit]

I made some edits and will make more when I have time, but I suspect that a misleading source re: the relationship between the IWK and the Red Guard which is leading to some confusion with this page. In 1971 the Red Guard merged with IWK, taking on the name of the latter. The Red Guard IWK lasted as an organization until 1976 when it merged with a number of other Maoist organizations to form the League for Revolutionary Struggle. I have never seen any evidence to suggest that the Red Guard remained active as an underground wing of IWK.

While IWK and the Red Guard certainly worked with local chapters of both the BPP and YLP, I have never seen any evidence to suggest that they (or any other group outside of Chicago) were members of the Rainbow Coalition.

Since there are no citations here I am curious if there is a particular book or article that folks are drawing these erroneous accounts from? --Chris902 (talk) 03:19, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed - the initial paragraphs lack citation and appear somewhat biased.OSURoss (talk) 16:27, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
