Yeah, it really needs to be redone/fixed --Phred Levi 17:06, 17 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, any takers for cleaning up this article? I'm busy at the moment... Power level (Dragon Ball) 17:03, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar enough with the series to avoid messing the facts up, but I'd give it a try if someone volunteers to review it so somebody doesn't go and revert on me for messing things up.Alternator 04:20, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've started to edit it - I'm a big fan of the Red Ribbon Army. Should I add something to the officer's sections, like when they appeared in the manga and anime and maybe a couple quotes or something? Eat Snow 04:27, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By all means, if you could, get new images for each character (not the same pics at List of Humans in Dragon Ball#Red Ribbon Army). I'll even help you out if ya need it. Power level (Dragon Ball) 19:23, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New images...like, of what? Close-ups, or torso-up, or profile, or anything close to full view? I took screen captures of ever officer, and then there's the question of wheither I should use the Funimation ones (Funimation cut off a lot of the picture and brightened it up a lot) or the Castilian version of the Dragonbox, with super good quality, but it's fuzzy in some parts, like on the color red it becomes really blocky. I don't have pictures of every officer from the Castilian Dragonbox, though - only about five of Colonel Silver. The place where I found those episodes haven't uploaded any other Red Ribbon episodes yet. Eat Snow 00:28, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just add whatever cool RR army pics you have that are different than the ones at List of Humans in Dragon Ball#Red Ribbon Army. K? Power level (Dragon Ball)

Alright. Eat Snow 23:21, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Redirected[edit]

The page did nothing but bloat some characters with random content (What the hell was up with Red's section? That was retarded looking.). Everything is covered by the list. The organization isn't complicated or anything, so the page is pointless. Nemu 18:19, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And, to whoever wrote the bulk of the article, I'm sorry, but the writing really sucks. It's written way too personally, originally, speculatively, "chummily", and too bad in general to have anything in it worth being kept. Nemu 18:43, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, my points are already here. Refute them. Nemu 18:23, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the page is written badly. So, fix it instead of complaining about it. Or if you're only going to complain about it, at least give the guy a couple days to respond before you scrap the page. --DesireCampbell 18:50, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, the reson for saying it's written badly was to say that nothing should be saved. That's not the reason for the redirect. There is nothing that is covered here that isn't covered anywhere else. This is just a bad rehash of info. The organization is not very notable, so it doesn't need a page. If this page is kept, it should be replaced with the info on the list. Nemu 19:02, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"The organization is not very notable"
What? The Red Ribbon Army isn't very notable? Have you watched Dragon Ball? They're a rather important part of the overall plot. With recurring elements, characters, and references. The Red Ribbon Army's more notable than a lot of other things in Dragon Ball, yet they get their own article and RR doesn't? The Red Ribbon Army is important enough of a subject to warrant it's own article, if the article fails to meet standards for quality, relevance, or length, then it should be noted as such and given time to allow whoever is working on it time to reply to such criticisms. Not "this article sucks" and dump it. Perhaps the one guy writing the page needs more than a week to make it perfect.

I'm not saying the article is great, I'm just asking you give it a little time to get better. --DesireCampbell 19:29, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the Red Ribbon Army is indeed notable. However, the article in its current state does not reflect this notability as it is basically an overly expanded version of this. If the article were to be redone so that it details the Red Ribbon Army's actions/goals as an organization, not as a recount of each members involvement, the article might warrant an existence.
So, since it took User:Eat Snow a few days to put the article in its current state, I say give a few days to transform the article into something more than a recreation of already existing information. If this doesn't happen, or it at least doesn't seem like anyone's going to make it happen in the near future, then it should be redirected (to be revived when someone wants to give it the initiative needed). ~SnapperTo 21:38, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't really mean not notable in the sense that I put it. It's just not very complicated. The goals are easily summed up as "They sought out the Dragon Balls to take over the world, or so they thought. It was really so Red, who had a problem with his height could wish to become taller. On they way the expended many soildiers and the hired mercenary, Tao, while searching for them to the hands of Goku and co. Goku eventually invaded them and took them out."
That sums it up pretty well. If there's more to it than that, it should be kept. But so far, besides the soilders(which are better covered on another page), it doesn't seem to have any more real content. Nemu 21:48, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
True. And I don't think that the page needs to recount the plot again (every page seems to do that...), but I'm sure there's good information about RR that would make this a great article. Information about the hierarchy, i's bases, its plans, its uses of technology, etc. Perhaps there's not enough to warrant its own page. Perhaps information on the RR, and Capsule Corp, and Freeza's empire should be consolidated on one 'Organizations' page. Thoughts? --DesireCampbell 23:10, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well you see, it's been so long since I last watched Dragon Ball that I'd forgotten that their goal was that simplistic. If a decent-length organizational overview of RR can't be made without resorting to plot summaries or generally useless info, then I don't see how this article needs its own page. As for an "Organizations" article, it would depend on what you can write about other groups. Capsule Corp. doesn't strike me as being very complicated; their inventions would be the only thing worthy of mention. As for Freeza, I don't seem to remember there being a great deal of info. on that, save that he "cleaned" planets for other races' use. Again, not very complicated. ~SnapperTo 02:17, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for all the trouble I caused - on that day, when I began to re-write everything, I wasn't at my best, and after the page was deleted I stopped coming here. Anyway, information about the RRA's technology and such, as DesireCampbell suggested, would be appreciated, but for the sake of not making the same mistake twice, I think I should refrain from writing an article for a while. I guess I should have asked first before re-writing everything. Once again, I apologize. However, I can supply images if necessary. Eat Snow 02:11, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Starting tommorow...[edit]

Starting tommorrow I'll work hard to clean up and improve this article. I will, however, require a lot of help from you people. I'd start now, but really don't feel like it 'cause I'm tired. If anyone can now, fix up this article to their best. I promise to do my best tomorrow. Thanks everyone! Power level (Dragon Ball) 03:21, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Make sure you copy and paste from the lists at least. The content on this page should just be scrapped. Nemu 03:26, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm? I don't get it. Copy and paste what list? Anyways, I'm starting now. Power level (Dragon Ball) 14:22, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just that start seems much better. I'll try and do a bit too a little later (damn real life :p ) --DesireCampbell 14:59, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll do some now (maybe) and do more tommorow. Power level (Dragon Ball) 23:59, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't ever remember Blue's lieutenant being called Green by anyone - the fans I have met just call him either Dock or Dark, so unless I missed something giving him the name Green seems a bit random. In Muscle Tower, there was also a sergeant who lasted about two episodes, but I don't see anyone him giving him a color name. I don't remember if the guy was a sergeant in the original or if that was something Funimation added. Also, I don't ever remember Black being called an agent - I thought the official term was adjutant. In any case, if anyone wants to start a section on the R.R.A's technology, as was discussed before, that would be welcomed. Eat Snow 23:44, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could you start on that? I have no idea how to do that terminology thing in the first place. Power level (Dragon Ball) 14:30, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sure thing. It won't take that long...I'll do two of the air transportation units today and let people look at it and see if it's okay before I continue. I won't upload pictures for all of them, however.Eat Snow 01:56, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
