Great work[edit]

The article looks on the way to completion, great work putting this together in such a short time.--nixie 12:39, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tropical North Queensland[edit]

To my understanding, the "tropical north Queensland region" includes the whole area of the state above the tropic of capricorn, certainly, this is the area that is within the globally defined "topics". To say that this is another name for the far north region is misleading. see: [1] for a definition of "tropical". using this definition, the Tropical north queensland area covers almost half of the state from around Rockhampton north.Alpha k9 03:45, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Alpha K9Alpha k9 03:45, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other definitions[edit]

I would disagree that some of the items on the list are known as regions of Queensland. Every major city serves are a service centre for the area surrounding it, sometimes called a district, but that doesn't mean every city has it's own region. I have added a few fact templates and would like to see more refs for claims that Townsville, Toowoomba or the Gold Coast are recognised regions.

Something is up with the refs, possibly due to using multiple citation methods. I'm not sure how to fix it. - Shiftchange (talk) 05:05, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like much of the intent of these edits is still missing from the current article. John Vandenberg (chat) 04:07, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Far North Queensland[edit]

This article states that Far North Queensland covers 54% of the area of Queensland. This is clearly incorrect. The area given is also much larger than that given in the linked article on Far North Queensland. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2407:7000:9B7A:8721:559E:A311:4E10:6AD5 (talk) 10:10, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
