Purpose of this page[edit]

What is the purpose of this page? The topic of religion in the Republic of Ireland is covered comprehensively at Religion in the Republic of Ireland, and the topic of religion in Northern Ireland is comprehensively covered at Religion in Northern Ireland. This page is a collection of links that duplicates links from those other pages, but does not meet the requirements of a disambiguation page. My attempt to reformat the page as a disambiguation page here was reverted by @The Banner: "revert undiscussed controversial edit".

So, I propose that because this page only serves to duplicate links that are present (or should be present) at both Religion in the Republic of Ireland and Religion in Northern Ireland, the page be reformatted to a disambiguation page with 2 entries. An alternative is to move Religion in the Republic of Ireland to Religion in Ireland which would be consistent with the situation elsewhere, e.g. Culture of Ireland and Culture of Northern Ireland, and Sport in Ireland and Sport in Northern Ireland. @The Banner: yes, I see that. The lead would be better off saying it: "This a list of articles about religion in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland" rather than "Religion in Ireland may refer to:". But what is its purpose, as a list, with no context, duplicating links that are in other articles? Other articles titled like this (All pages with titles beginning with Religion in) are not list articles. What do you think of my proposal(s)?
