administrative programs[edit]

Sub seven and netbus are NOT trojans, they are administrative programs that are used to do administrative tasks and of course hacking, so I took it off. User:warrush

Page is a joke[edit]

To the contrary, gathering credit card numbers is entirely possible with a RAT. Automated RATs are used in large numbers in malware, spam, etc. botnets; these botnets need new commands periodically, etc. This information should probably be integrated into the article. However I do agree that it is a pretty poor article, a complete rewrite may be needed.--Pokeme444 22:32, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

If this article is not deleted (it looks fishy to me), the title needs to be downcased. Per WP:MOSCAPS ("Wikipedia avoids unnecessary capitalization") and WP:TITLE, this is a generic, common term, not a propriety or commercial term, so the article title should be downcased. In addition, WP:MOSCAPS says that a compound item should not be upper-cased just because it is abbreviated with caps. this article is way too focussed on security[edit]

Not all remote administration tools are evil. VNC or Teamviewer are legal products, often also used in attacks. But the tools in themselves are not bad. RDP is even delivered directly with the OS.

Also needs a section about definitions in use today.
