Confusion[edit]

Italian wikipedia mentions confusion between Republic of Alba and Republic Piemontese. Bianchi-Bihan 01:05, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Italian version of this article does not imply that at all. It only states the gonfalone is based on the flag of the Republic of Alba and that is the only connection between the region of Piedmont (which is not a republic) aside from the fact Alba is a city in Piedmont.

Lack of sources, wrong labels, likely fabrications[edit]

1. This article is completely unsourced so it completely unreliable.

2. The third color for the first flag looks yellow more than orange. The flag on the right points a file called "Flag of the Repubblic of Alba" and described as "Bandera de la República de Alba 1796-1801" which are incorrect since the word is republic with one b and the dates are 1796-1796.

3. The whole story of the designer of the flag is totally fabricated (as far as I can see and as long as somebody provides a source). On top of that I never heard the word "ranza" in piemontèis (it does not even sound like piemontèis).
