Talk:Resources for the Future

With regard to the possible "Copyright infringement":

I have permission to use the copyrighted material. I work at Resources for the Future and was tasked with creating an entry for RFF . Given that other research institutions and think tanks (e.g. the Brookings Institution) have pages on Wikipedia, and given RFF's scope and influence, I don't think the usual restriction about creating a page for the company you work for applies here. You should note that the language is neutral and explanatory, not biased or seeking to advertise; merely another source from which one could educate themself about RFF.

I intend to send an email, from my @rff.org account to permissions-en at wikimedia dot org.

If there's something I'm missing here, please let me know. As I understand it though, since I have permissions to use this language, and given the nature of the entry, the Resources for the Future page should stay.

Thanks.

If you do in fact have permission to use the text, then it's OK. -Kris Schnee 08:35, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the page since more than 7 days have gone by and permission has not been sent to the OTRS system. Greeenbean, if you do send the permission notice, OTRS will post here that permission was received and archived, and you may repost the article. Until then, it is a copyright violation. --Spike Wilbury 15:04, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Violation of Wiki guidelines[edit]

I believe it is a violation of wikipedia guidelines for a member of RFF to create a wikipedia entry about RFF.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.152.214.31 (talk) 16:01, 2013 January 14‎ (UTC)

It's not really a violation, but it is "very strongly discouraged". (WP:NOPAY). –Temporal User (Talk) 09:08, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No COI as of 2013-06-11[edit]

The page created by User:Greenbean with the COI was deleted in 2007. The current page hasn't been edited by Greenbean since. There's no other evidence of COI. This could change in the future.–Temporal User (Talk) 09:08, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
