Please expand -- I know that the second paragraph is a weasel and has no sources, but it's common sense (Wikipedia:Ignore all rules). Delete if you feel necessary. Link to websites with reverse dictionaries. Kortaggio (talk) 00:35, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I stumbled on to this listing while looking for something on Google. It is the first time I have ever edited a widipedia entry. ([[User talk;Dr.sliderule[talk]]) 21:00, 05 March 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr.sliderule (talkcontribs)

Examples of English reverse dictionaries[edit]

Both of the examples of English reverse dictionaries are of the conceptual type, but the first paragraph states that only reverse word dictionaries will be discussed in this article. Examples with links of reverse word dictionaries would be helpful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.198.117.65 (talk) 03:00, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

the link for an english reverse dictionary no loner works. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:197:A7F:C540:C50:EEC5:1981:2124 (talk) 11:58, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Other kind of reverse dictionary[edit]

The only kind of "reverse dictionary" I have heard of involves searching for a word by entering the definition. Wolf O'Donnel (talk) 02:52, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There needs to be a Disambiguation page for this subject. A google search turns up the type when you know the definition, but you can't remember the word. This is what I needed. I doubt that very many people would want the type that this article is about. The term doesn't seem to give an accurate description of what is being done here. There needs to be a new article on "meaning-to-word" with the current title. agb — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.233.167.50 (talk) 18:21, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
