Untitled[edit]

This phase should probably be adjusted: "His mother Eleanor of Aquitaine, who had been feuding with her husband, joined the cause as did many others upset by Henry's murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket in 1170, ".

It is indicated elsewhere that Henry II did not order the murder of Becket, but rather it was a decision taken by the knights themselves. It would probably be more correct to re-phase as: "His mother Eleanor of Aquitaine, who had been feuding with her husband, joined the cause as did many others upset by the murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket in 1170, ".

  • @AllegedlyHuman and Amakuru: queried move request Anthony Appleyard (talk) 14:47, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. MOS:DATERANGE permits two-digit years where the range is a pair of consecutive years. The current title is fine, and in line with many other articles.  — Amakuru (talk) 13:34, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, it looks better and is more accurate with the full year, and although Amakuru is correct that MOS:DATERANGE usually refers to full years when they are not consecutive, full years are preferred and seem encouraged by the language ("Although non-abbreviated years are generally preferred..."). • Support. Full years look much better and more encyclopaedic and are preferred, despite the abbreviated form being allowed by DATERANGE. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:11, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support for consistency. If the start year is written out in full, the end year should also be. JIP | Talk 15:28, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Full years look much more accurate. --Edouard2 (talk) 16:33, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
