Fair use rationale for Image:Reynoldstownsign.jpg[edit]

Image:Reynoldstownsign.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:23, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Funkytown[edit]

Patrickkidda, no source other than your own blog refers to the neighborhood at Funkytown. Remember Wikipedia is not a site where we can just make up our own pesonal observations, it's supposed to be an online encyclopedia which contains researched, verifiable facts. The nickname "Funkytown" cannot be included unless reliable third party sources include it - an example might be the AJC or even Creative Loafing. (see WP:V). Blogs alone, however, are not sufficiently reliable sources, and using your own blog as a source is not allowed (WP:SPS). Also it's not acceptable by Wikipedia policy to use your own original "research" or conclusions. (WP:OR) Not trying to discourage you from contributing here, just trying to protect the integrity and quality of the articles. Thanks! Keizers (talk) 11:42, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I will keep working to find suitable sources and there may be a mistake. I have not used anything related to me as a source. My Youtube account is "patrickkidda" and I have a mural video I could have used but I found an independent one which is a great visual and audio reference.

There is no blog reference, I do not use my blog as a reference, and I will work hard to protect the integrity and quality of the article as you do. It sounds like maybe I just phrased something incorrectly. Thanks for your help — Preceding unsigned comment added by Patrickkidda (talkcontribs) 11:59, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I know, you didn't actually refer to your blog, but you used "original research" and conclusions (e.g. there are a lot of gospel churches, etc. etc. therefore Reynoldstown is Funkytown) to come to the theme of your blog i.e. that Reynoldstown is Funkytown. What would be very appropriate and add to the article, would be to document how diverse Reynoldstown is. For example describe how many gospel churches there are, how many hipsters, how many whatever other things. Just the facts! Keizers (talk) 21:10, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reynoldstown is a big neighborhood. When I moved here in 2008, the old timers told me that I had moved to the part called "Funkytown" for the reasons I listed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.252.164.175 (talk) 01:50, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
