Despite her place of birth, and sources of questionable reliability, Ricca Allen should probably be considered an American actress. Her death certificate lists citizenship as the United States. Her father (and mother) was born in England but became well known resident of the United States (especially in the California's San Francisco Bay Area), and while details about him are currently scarce, he was known as a musician: Ricca may have been born on tour, or during a period of travel, as 1870 census records indicate some of her older siblings were born in Australia. --Animalparty!
