Update[edit]

Hi there! I have added information previously and will continue to do so until the 27th of May! Please try not to edit this page until then after I have finished! If you are a moderator, please feel free to change the class of the article! Thanks! --Yu032105 (talk) 23:51, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yield contradiction?[edit]

The overview states that China has the largest rice yield per hectare in Asia, yet the "fertilizer use" section says that China has low yields compared to other rice producing nations that use nitrogen fertilizer. While both statements may be true, it seems unlikely since rice production is popular throughout Asia, as is nitrogen fertilizer. In the case that both are true, clarification is needed anyway since it is misleading having two statements that imply opposite conclusions even if not directly stated. Categories[edit]

Hello @Yu032105: Many of the categories on this page were redundant with others. There may be a few that are appropriate however. Category:Rice is redundant with Category:Rice production by country however Category:Japonica rice and Category:Indica rice may yet be needed because they distinguish this from Oryza rufipogon production.
