Nationality in intro[edit]

MOS:CONTEXTBIO says only nationality related to notable activities. Birth location is irrelevant to his notability so shouldn't be mentioned in lead. It is covered in early life section. Geraldo Perez (talk) 02:17, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Appreciate you keeping my page up to date. But I’m a dual national British /American and live in London for a very long time. I think Welsh-American most accurate. That is precisely how I describe myself. 2A02:6B60:B921:0:18F0:9AE2:13F2:DCE6 (talk) 19:41, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That is an MOS:ETHNICITY tag that does not belong in the lead. Many Americans are proud of their ancestry and like to describe themselves in ways that include their ancestry - as a type of American. It just isn't something that goes in Wikipedia when described them in their article. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:58, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. Then I would be better described as a Welsh actor not American. I was born in Wales, obviously have UK citizenship and have resided in UK for the majority of my life. 2A02:6B60:B921:0:2D3E:2077:70C6:AB25 (talk) 22:28, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
