Doubt...[edit]

Here we have a classic example of the problems arising from the format used in this article for discographies, i.e. Davis appears on the album The Roland Kirk Quartet Meets the Benny Golson Orchestra. Now you know an' I know that he was a member of the Golson orchestra, but how do we list the recording? The first name on the album is Kirk, but Davis is a sideman for Golson. Now you know why I prefer straight chronological discographies, which incidently give a better idea of the reality the artist was living... Feedback, anyone? --Technopat (talk) 21:52, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

I think the photograph is reversed, does that matter? He's wearing a Casio f91 which has two buttons on the left side, also he's wearing the watch on his right hand in this photo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:14D:4003:370:148D:A4B7:BC0D:324 (talk) 22:05, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Davis discography[edit]

Support split - Discography section is long and should be split to Richard Davis discography. --Jax 0677 (talk) 17:26, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Miles Davis in 1966[edit]

I am listening to "Miles Davis at the Oriental Theatre 1966" and the announcer very clearly mentioned "Richard Davis on bass!".

The liner notes say that Ron Carter was unavailable for the Spring 1966 tour and so Richard Davis played throughout the tour - including the Portland May 21, 1966 gig that is on the recording - supposedly the only recording of Miles Davis with Richard Davis. 162.205.217.211 (talk) 02:34, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
