Young man was found shot dead at Richard Gorlins New Hampshire home in 1977. It’s still a cold case.[edit]

It’s interesting there’s no mention about the 1977 suspicious death of a young man with a fatal gunshot to his head, along with 4 tons of marijuana, found by police on a search warrant to Richard Gorlins home in Gilmanton, NH. Both the young man and Richard Gorlin have connections to Massachusetts, Boston specifically, and I wonder why they needed to get that search warrant in the first place. I have to wonder though how much the authorities looked into Gorlin as a suspect. I’m presuming they must have, but high profile people often get away with murder, especially when the victim is considered a “nuisance” to society and looked down upon. I wouldn’t be surprised if police crossed Gorlin off their suspect list after a brief interview. There’s still not much information about the case, and it’s been a cold case since 1977. Whether Gorlin was responsible for the young man’s death or not, there’s still a clear connection between the two since the young man was holding 4 tons of marijuana at Gorlins home. I believe the nature of this scandal means it should be included on a Wikipedia page.

Here’s the link to a newspaper article from back then.

Interesting. The newspaper article makes it sound like Gorlin hadn't been to the house in a while and it's listed as his summer home. It would be nice if there was something else linking them together besides the fact that Gorlin was renting the home to this guy. For example, did Gorlin and this guy know each other? Ever seen together? Nevertheless, an interesting story. Ewingdo 06:08, 9 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
