Untitled[edit]

Richard L. Albert is notable as producer of several successful independent motion pictures, and was instrumental in creating the business model adopted by major successful independent film distributors in the 1980's. He provided daily consultation to Menahem Golan and Yorum Globus at Cannon Films beginning in 1979 on how to market and pre-sell Cannon's films, while his Los Angeles based advertising firm Design Projects created the ad campaigns for almost 60 percent of the independent films originating in the United States at that time.

He produced several films following the pre-sale business model. At the same time, his advertising company Design Projects gained noteriety as designer of movie ad campaigns for Film Ventures International, Image Organization, Producers Sales Organization, Filmways, and most of the major Hollywood film studios. Film posters, art directed by Richard Albert, won Society of Illustrator awards, and are collector items today.

As a practicing lawyer, Albert appeared as a commentator on Court TV discussing the Pamela Andersen breach of contract case, and currently represents film distributors and production companies all over the world.

In order to qualify for an encyclopedia article, a person must be "notable". Please read WP:BIO, the relevant notability guideline. If Richard Albert satisfies the notability criteria, please add that information to the article. Please be sure to include reliable sources so readers, including other editors, can verify the facts in the article. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 23:58, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
While the subject may or may not prove notable, this article certainly asserts significance. WP:CSD#A7 states "An article about a real person . . . that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability." I have declined the speedy deletion. Dlohcierekim 01:03, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
