– Ambiguous identifiers - goalkeepers are used in multiple sports such as field hockey, netball, water polo. And there is also defenders in beach volleyball among other sports for common sense. Oppose per WP:NCSP. The current qualifiers are far more recognizable and disambiguating for the average reader than a few months difference in age. Not to mention more WP:CONCISE. We're not disambiguating goaltenders, we're only disambiguating Richard Oforis, so the positions existing in other sports is not important. The proposed titles could be redirects, though. Oppose. Usually I'm a staunch champion of YOB disambiguation for footballers, but in this instance, when both are footballers from the same country born in the same year, the position is indeed the best disambiguator. The argument that goalkeepers and defenders are used in various sports is utterly irrelevant, given both of these men are footballers. If another Richard Ofori comes along who's a goalkeeper or defender in another sport then we'll have to reconsider. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:52, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
