Article title[edit]

I just placed an internal link for Richard Wilson in the article Les Misérables (radio), which credits his work as an actor. I found that his article was recently moved from "Richard Wilson (producer)" to "Richard Wilson (producer/director)".

The rationale for the move (April 19) in the edit summary reads, "Subject was equally well known as a producer and a director and his credits are equally divided between the two functions". Wilson was producer, director, writer and actor. Since disambiguation should be no more complicated than need be to distinguish between one person and another — please see Wikipedia:Article titles — I'm questioning whether the present (producer/director) title is the way to go. I don't recall ever seeing an article with a title like this, actually. I'd prefer to see the article moved back. Although the article's lead sentence describes subject as "director, actor, writer and producer" and the heading of his appended obituary in the Los Angeles Times states "Richard Wilson; Director, Writer and Actor" [note the missing "Producer"], his two prime functions, to what appears to be an equal degree, were those of producer and director, as demonstrated by the listing under one of the article's section headers, "Select filmography". His writing apparently consisted of a handful of teleplays and screenplays for films which he directed [presumably, there may have been much uncredited work with Orson Welles, as indicated by another appended indicator, "Richard Wilson - Orson Welles Papers 1930-2000 (bulk 1930-1991)", which describes him as "producer, director, writer, actor, and a longtime associate of Orson Welles"]. As for his acting, whatever he may have done on Welles' radio shows, his film credits had been seemingly confined to a couple of unbilled appearances and another couple of minor supporting roles. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 17:29, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
