  • ... that it's debated whether the 1919 "kino-drama" Righteous Revenge can be considered the first Korean film? Source: [1] It is widely known that the first local film that was screened in Korea was “The Righteous Revenge,” by director Kim Do-san. The movie had proper plot and actors, but took the form of a kino drama, or a stage performance with brief clips of scenery shown in between. Due to this fact, some industry experts insist that “The Righteous Revenge” cannot be called a proper film.

Title of article[edit]

Keep in mind we try to prefer common English names for article titles, and it seems "Righteous Revenge" is pretty unambiguously the English common name for the film at present toobigtokale (talk) 19:11, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if there's an infobox-worthy image out there on a quick glance. There are a few newspaper ads about it that exist but I don't know if that's worthy of infobox status. That'd be like putting a Google ads box for the Avengers in the infobox for the Avengers movie article toobigtokale (talk) 18:43, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
