As of 2017, Rio Tinto's share in Coal and Allied Industries Limited was sold to Yancoal Australia limited. The page should be updated to take this into account. https://www.riotinto.com/media/media-releases-237_23059.aspx, https://www.mining-technology.com/news/newsrio-tinto-closes-sale-of-coal-allied-industries-to-yancoal-for-269bn-5915643/, http://www.connect4.com.au.ezproxy.library.uq.edu.au/fcas/casdeliver.cgi?img=01858979 2001:8003:79A0:A400:396F:E77F:8EDE:8714 (talk) 07:31, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to Rio Tinto Coal Australia section, by the company[edit]

Page was revised on 16 August 2009 to update factual errors, including the sale of Tarong Mine. The sponsorship section was also expanded. In order to maintain honesty and transparency, as I am an employee of the company, I have chosen a username that reflects who is editing. However the edits made are an attempt to provide up to date information and not to advertise.

This page requires someone to revise it - please advise me of any potential conflicts.

I'm removing the requested edit template. Since your edits haven't been reverted yet I don't see anything else left to add. ThemFromSpace 16:33, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

I've added the coi tag to this article because of recent major edits by a user who is likely affiliated with this company. A bit of the editing included insertion of detailed information on corporate partnerships and removal of mentions of "strip mining". These edits need looked at by another editor familiar with our coi guidelines to see if they are ok or not. ThemFromSpace 01:43, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
