why did they straighten out a part of the river? thanks How long is the river? How large is its drainage basin? What is it flow? Is it tidal/brackish - how far? Etc.

I believe this is, or at least was for a time, one of the last places where elms still grew after the disease. Can anyone confirm? Seadowns (talk) 19:00, 16 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
