Holme turns red[edit]

TO IMPROVE WIKIPEDIA'S ARTICLE I report this news to integrate: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/river-runs-orange-in-huddersfield-9135854.html to elaborate--Adriano G. V. Esposito (talk) 06:20, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That media article is neither notable or encyclopaedic enough for inclusion. I have lived at the side of this river for over five decades. Whenever there is a large amount of rain on the hills above Jackson Bridge and Hepworth, around Hepshaw, the build up of water in the old abandoned mine workings at Hepworth Iron Company gets flushed out. The only people amazed by it are new residents further down the valley and the local media they report it to, presumably as it sells more papers.
